Dumpstaphunk ~ Kicks off Tour in NYC

The funkiest band in the land played a great two set late show last
night at Sullivan Hall in NYC.

Ivan Neville and this all-star funk band are starting to take off big time. And it's well deserved.

Dumpsta's set at Mountain Jam IV is not to be missed folks!

Last night a packed house witnessed a number of local musicians stop by for a good ole fashion sit in. Throughout the late night set, NYC residents Eric Krasno (Soulive, Lettuce) on guitar , Cheme (Robert Walters 20th Congress, Dap-Kings) on Alto Sax, Adam Deitch on Drums and some dude named Warren Haynes performed with the New Orleans Phunkatiers.

Dumpstaphunk features an uber talented all-star New Orleans line-up. Joining Ivan Neville is: Nick Daniels, Tony Hall, Raymond Weber and Ian Neville.

Warren Haynes appeared at the end of the group’s first set on Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Fortunate Son” and Alabama 3’s "Woke Up," also know as the Sopranos theme song.

What a great night in the city. Grace Potter & The Nocturnals were also playing Lincoln Center last night and MMW are in town, so we had a little mini Mountain Jam preview of sorts!

After the two smokin' hot Dumpsta sets, the happy crowd walked out into the NYC late night to a beautiful snow storm.

Listen to some great Dumpstaphunk on their website!
