Brothers on the Road

The Allman Brothers 40th Anniversary train has left the station and is now working it's way through the West Coast before chuggin' into Mtn Jam. Not only do we get the collective powerhouse of The Brothers, but also the individual axe wielding goodness of Warren & Derek in their own kick ass bands.

Last week 22,000 Deadheads danced and shaked their bones at The Gorge in George, Washington. It was a marathon of a three-band bill that featured The Dead, The Allman Bros and The Doobie Brothers. The Tripleheader felt more like an old time 60's festival than a single concert as each band came packing enough hits in their respective repertoires to go on for a few days. Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks took it up a few notches as The ABB started their set with a 20-minute-plus version of “Mountain Jam.” Yes indeed... we like to hear that in these parts!
