It's easy being Green!

As individuals, we are increasingly aware of the impact we have on the planet and our fellow humans. By getting involved in our communities, by talking to our neighbors, by supporting local groups, and by re-imagining where we live, we can green not only our own lifestyles, but our streets, neighborhoods, towns, cities and, ultimately, our societies. Who knows, we may even make friends doing it. As globalization makes the world become smaller, it becomes increasingly easy to see how the lives of people (and plants and animals and ecosystems) everywhere are closely synced up with one another.

Our Mountain Jam team is striving for even more Green Initiatives. This year our Green Team here at MJ plans to implement these initiatives:

Replace vendors disposable cups and plates
with biodegradable, earth-friendly materials

We will offer FREE WATER to eliminate the need for
those highly earth-unfriendly water bottles

Replace the energy we use back into the grid with wind-power

Campground Stage will be run on Solar Power

All tickets and festival guides are printed
on recycled paper with soy-based ink

Extensive recycling program

…and this is just the beginning! We encourage everyone to consider the planet on their way here! Carpooling is fun, cheaper, and way more environmentally friendly. We also urge everyone to keep the scene clean, pick up after yourselves, and respect those around you… And, as in years past, we'll bring in a highly qualified team to help us keep the grounds clean all weekend long!
