Coheed and Cambria

When booking bands for this years Mountain Jam much time and effort was taken to present a really diverse lineup. More diverse and outside of the box than ever before. After Coheed & Cambria threw down a blistering performance at Warren Haynes' 20th Anniversary Xmass Jam. The decision was made, they need to play Mountain Jam! Saturdays bill showcases bands that step outside that box and rock (read: My Morning Jacket's performance, Mtn Jam II)! Day two features The Hold Steady, Gene Ween Band, Gomez and then Coheed & Cambria before clearing the way for Gov't Mule. Yeah, we're mixin' it up... good!

Coheed and Cambria's albums are concept albums that reveal a science fiction storyline called The Amory Wars, a series of comics written by lead singer Claudio Sanchez. The band has released four studio albums, two live albums, and several special-edition releases, with their latest release being Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume Two: No World for Tomorrow in 2007. In 2008, the band held a series of four-day shows, Neverender, at which they played their studio albums in succession. They are currently working on their fifth studio album which will be a prequel to the series.

Those four Neverender shows in 2008 were a four night concert event with each album being played each night. The event was held in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles, and in London. Neverender: Children of The Fence Edition, a CD/DVD box set of their Neverender performance, was released on March 24, 2009.
